LW26 Cam Rotary Changeover Switch

The rotary switches LW26 series are produced for switching on/off electrical circuits with commutated current from 10 to 160A. They are designed on the bases of the rotor-electric switching on which is realized through turning of the handle to 60 or 90 degrees. The normal operation is used for commuting two, three or four conductor systems. There are special rotary switches that switch on under given connection schemes and are used to control motors, electric welding machines and other consumers.

Introduction

The LW26 series encompasses a robust lineup of rotary changeover switches, crafted for optimal performance in both AC circuits of 440V or below at 50Hz and DC circuits of 240V or below. These versatile switches are ideal for tasks including breaking and closing, as well as circuit changeovers during infrequent manual operation. Their applications are extensive, serving as 3 phase motor control switches, switchgear control switches, instrument control switches, and as changeover switches in machinery and welding machines.


Each switch within the LW26 series is designed to seamlessly conform to IEC standards 60947-3 and 60947-5-1, offering a reliable solution for industrial use. The series boasts an impressive range of current ratings, from 10A to 315A, to accommodate a broad spectrum of requirements. Notably, the LW26-10, LW26-20, LW26-25, and LW26-32F variants come with finger protection terminals, enhancing safety for operators.


These rotary selectors are suitable for various environments where manual control is essential. For added security, a protective box is available for models 20A, 25A, 32A, and 63A.


Working Conditions

Our rotary changeover cam switches are built to withstand ambient temperatures up to 40°C— with an average not exceeding 35°C over 24 hours—and remain fully operational down to -25°C. Installation at elevations up to 2000m above sea level is permissible, and although the humidity should remain under 50% at 40°C, higher humidity levels are acceptable at reduced temperatures.


Installation Conditions

For the best results, a clean environment is advised for the operation of our rotary isolator switches. We strongly recommend adhering to our user manual for proper installation techniques.
